ANZ Branch Manager Conference

The Challenge

ANZ required a comprehensive two-day conference to guide Branch Managers (BMs) through a strategic journey of learning, team activities, coaching, performance evaluation, performance improvement, and reward and recognition. The goal was to equip BMs with the essential skills to navigate the evolving landscape of leadership while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The Solution

We designed a series of Human Centred sessions with a blend of interactive sessions, case studies, and real-world scenarios. This emphasised practical application and incorporated concepts previously established across the network. It aimed to transform BMs into customer-centric, strategic leaders who uplift both their Bankers and organisational performance. The workshop included various formats such as plenary sessions, roundtable discussions, and small group activities, all facilitated by Lysander consultants.

The Implementation

Launched in 2024, the conference adapted to different delivery modes, including plenary and roundtable formats. Each day ran for 8 hours, in each state, with a structured agenda to ensure a comprehensive learning and immersion experience. The conference was designed to empower learners to seamlessly integrate the ANZ Branch Blueprint into their day-to-day leadership and branch operations.

The Results

The conference landed exceptionally well, equipping BMs with effective planning strategies, enhancing banker engagement, and developing coaching skills. Participants reported a significant improvement in their ability to evaluate and lift individual and team performance. Feedback was exceptional, with participants stating it was the “best conference we’ve ever had.”
