The program ran over six-months, with half-day workshops delivered every six weeks. Each session followed a consistent structure, combining well-being check-ins, peer coaching, and capability-building activities.
Apprentices reported increased confidence, stronger peer relationships, and improved ability to navigate workplace challenges. The program created a safe space for reflection and growth and generated valuable insights into apprentice experiences. Its success led to further cohorts being planned and to formal recognition by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) in its awards process, winning Most Innovative Solution and therefore being set up as a model for industry-leading apprentice support.
